Hi Beth! I have enjoyed this blog all year. What a fun experience. Here is a cocktail option to end this year with a “bang”: http://cocktails.about.com/od/rumrecipes/r/Goblet-Of-Fire.htm

Wow that sounds fancy! I was thinking hot buttered rum or spiked eggnog!
Champagne to ring in the new year! Or, given the weather report, an Igloo Cocktail:
2 cups fresh clean snow
1 cup lemonade
3 oz. vodka
1 oz. grenadine syrup
Tall glass
Follow these steps to make an igloo cocktail:
Place the snow in your tall glass. Everything else will seep down into the snow so the snow is the focus of the igloo cocktail.
Pour lemonade on top of the snow. You can use homemade lemonade or store bought lemonade. You can even use pink lemonade if you want.
Add the vodka to the top of the snow in the glass. The vodka will naturally mix with the lemonade in the snow.
Top the igloo cocktail with grenadine syrup. If you don’t have any grenadine syrup, you can use the juice in a jar of cherries.
Tips: If you do not have any snow on the ground, but you are dying for an igloo cocktail, you can use crushed ice instead. You can also place a little drink umbrella in the top of the glass for decoration.
Warning: Do not mix the igloo cocktail. The ingredients are meant to penetrate into the snow.
